Kirkwood Timber Frame is a leading timber frame supplier to the UK. Due to growth and significant investment in our factory at Sauchen, Aberdeenshire, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our team.
Our ideal candidates will have previous experience within a timber frame industry, though this is not essential.
Key responsibilities:
▪ Raising of purchase orders
▪ Commercially aware
▪ Negotiating and communicating with suppliers
▪ Liaising with our factory teams to ensure sufficient material stock levels
▪ Liaising with our design and production teams to ensure materials are delivered to the relevant sites on time
▪ Ideally familiar with construction drawings
▪ Preferably familiar with material take-offs/scheduling (but not essential)
▪ Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
