Supporting our experienced and skilled team, we have tried and tested partners.
They play a vital role in helping us to deliver projects in the commercial, residential, social housing and self-build sectors.
Here, we shine a spotlight on the importance of architectural design in timber frame construction - and on our successful collaboration with architect Katrina Denholm, who supports us in making our self-build customers’ dream homes a reality.
We have worked with Katrina - and her business Katrina Denholm Architect (KDA) - for more than a couple of years now. In that time, she has helped deliver a number of self-build timber frame homes for families across the UK.
Katrina said: “Working with Kirkwood Timber Frame and its customers is really rewarding - especially when customers start to see their project come to life.
“Timber is one of my preferred materials to work with because it is a proven modern method of construction that is cost effective, quick to erect, airtight, thermally efficient and great for the speed of build!
“It also offers many options to accommodate customers’ budgets as structural timber packages can be easily modified or adapted during the design process.”
Katrina’s latest project with Kirkwood Timber Frame is Shenval, Glencairn by Ballater.
Barbara Massie, Business Development Director at Kirkwood Timber Frame, added: “Katrina’s comprehensive services, proven client satisfaction, local expertise and knowledge of all Scottish regulations, has made her a perfect partner for us and our customers.
“It is her dedicated family-centric design approach, attention to detail and the fact that she puts her customers at the centre of everything she does, which has fostered this formidable partnership.”
